Citrus County Economic Development is led by Steven Baham, CEcD, EDFP. As the primary point of contact for companies and consultants, he coordinates directly with regional and statewide partners to support business attraction, retention, and expansion. Steven helps businesses navigate site selection, incentives, permitting, and community resources, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for new and existing employers in Citrus County.

The Citrus County Visitors & Convention Bureau promotes the county’s natural assets, outdoor recreation, and quality of life. The Tourism Division works closely with Economic Development to align messaging, support destination marketing, and elevate Citrus County’s visibility to visitors, residents, and business prospects.

The CORE Business Center connects businesses, entrepreneurs, and job seekers with advisory services, workforce resources, and training opportunities. Through a centralized service hub, CORE helps companies start, grow, and succeed while strengthening the county’s talent pipeline and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in fostering a strong business climate and supporting economic vitality across the county. The Chamber provides advocacy, networking, and business development services, connecting local companies with resources and opportunities. In partnership with Economic Development, the Chamber supports employer outreach, community promotion, and initiatives that strengthen Citrus County as a place to live, work, and build a business.

The Citrus County Industrial Development Authority was established to support economic development and capital investment in the county. The Authority works with public and private partners to advance strategic projects and create opportunities for business growth. As the organization continues to develop, CCIDA will help expand the county’s capacity to support long-term investment.

Citrus County Economic Development collaborates with CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, regional utilities, higher education institutions, and statewide economic development organizations to support workforce training, site readiness, infrastructure planning, and business recruitment.
